Description
The United States Air Force, AFLCMC/Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344. This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only. This proposed action is for the procurement of an Atomic Flux Monitor. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334516. Size standard is 500 employees. The proposed source is SVT Associates, 7620 Executive Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received within five (5) days of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD. Contractors must be registered in CCR prior to award for solicitations issued after 21 May 1998. You may contact CCR at 1-888-CCR-2423, fax at 1-703-696-0213. DUNS/CCR website: http://ccr.edi.disa.mil/ccr/cgi-bin/query.pl. The Government requires an atomic flux monitor that is compatible with current deposition hardware of fixed geometry and has the ability to deposit tin and germanium material simultaneously. The only known source that can meet the Government's requirement is SVT Associates. A sources sought notice (FA8601-12-T-0251) was posted on Fed Biz Ops on 03 Aug 12 for 8 days. SVT Associates was the only source found capable of meeting the Government's requirements for the Atomic Flux Monitor project.
