Description
The following is supplemental information to the CASC Special Notice posted on 12/12/2012. As you may be aware, the Analytical Services Branch (ASB) is preparing a joint solicitation for organic and inorganic services under the Combined Analytical Services Contracts (CASC). The solicitation is scheduled for release in March of 2013. For those labs that would like to test the effectiveness of their SEDD electronic reporting capabilities for CASC, EPA is making available its test version of the Electronic Data Exchange and Evaluation System (EXES) that is being developed to support the CASC program. Further information is available on FedBizOpps at the following link: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=ff2eb44c92a2e80a41cd620ffe799a4a&tab=core&_cview=0 The Inorganic (ISM02.0) and Organic (SOM02.X (Draft)) SOWs are also available on the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) web site under Future Routine Analytical Services at: http://www.epa.gov/superfund/programs/clp/analytic.htm We welcome you to take advantage of this opportunity to utilize the EXES test system for CASC. The purpose of the CASC solicitation is to procure the services of multiple analytical chemistry laboratories, sufficient to provide analytical capacity to support EPA?s Superfund analytical requirements. EPA CLP may also be required to support other environmental programs requiring the specialized services provided by CLP. This procurement represents a continuing requirement for the EPA?s Superfund Program, and the draft Statements of Work (SOWs) for this solicitation may be found on the CLP web site at http://www.epa.gov/superfund/programs/clp/analytic.htm under the heading Future Routine Analytical Services. For the first time, EPA is soliciting both organic and inorganic laboratory services under one solicitation. In the past, these services were procured under separate solicitations. Offerors will be able to propose on one, or both, services. Some contract laboratories have held separate, but concurrent, contracts for organic and inorganic services. It is anticipated that permitting laboratories the opportunity to be awarded a single contract for both organic and inorganic services would bring efficiencies to both the participating labs and EPA. Current and future information regarding the CASC procurement will be available on EPA?s Office of Acquisition Management?s (OAM) web site at: http://www.epa.gov/oam/srpod/index.htm#solam
