- Description
- PROPOSERS' DAY CONFERENCE DARPA will host a Proposers' Day in support of Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) DARPA-BAA-13-15, 100 Gb/s RF Backbone (100G) program on January 9, 2013 at System Planning Corporation (SPC), 3601 Wilson Blvd, 6th floor, Arlington, VA 22203 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. DARPA-BAA-13-15 is expected to be released prior to the Proposers' Day. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the 100 Gb/s RF Backbone (100G) program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities and conduct one-on-one sessions with the DARPA Program Manager. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: DARPA anticipates releasing the BAA for the 100 Gb/s RF Backbone (100G) program with the objective to design, build, and test a communications link with fiber-optic-equivalent capacity, long reach, and high availability in airborne-to-airborne and airborne-to-ground configurations that can serve as a deployable data backbone in a military communications network. The program envisions aerial and ground assets that provide 100 Gb/s capacity at ranges of 200 km for air-to-air links and 100 km for air-to-ground links. Additionally, the system will provide an all-weather (cloud, rain and fog) capability while maintaining tactically-relevant throughput and link ranges. The 100G program goal is to meet the weight and power metrics of the Common Data Link (CDL) deployed by the forces today for high-capacity data streaming from ISR platforms. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than close of business (5:00 PM ET) January 3, 2013, by sending an email with full name, organization, address, citizenship, telephone number, and email address of attendees to: DARPA-BAA-13-15@darpa.mil. The word "PROPOSERS DAY" must appear in the subject line of the email. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. The Proposers' Day will be unclassified and open to the general public. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all US Citizens are required to submit a US Citizenship Verification form in order to attend this conference. Non-US citizens are required to submit a DARPA Form 60 "Foreign National Visit Request". Forms will be emailed upon receipt of registration request. The completed Citizenship Form or DARPA Form 60 must be returned to: DARPA-BAA-13-15@darpa.mil, no later than close of business January 3, 2013. The Proposers' Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to the BAA for this program. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposer's Day. Additionally, attendees who would like to present company overviews, discuss their technology expertise, and/or discuss teaming opportunities in scheduled presentations at the conference may request to do so. Presentations may contain 4 slides and are limited to five (5) minutes each (including logistical issues). Proposers desiring to reserve a time to present at the Proposers' Day Conference should send email to DARPA-BAA-13-15@darpa.mil no later than close of business (5:00 PM ET) January 3, 2013. The words "COMPANY OVERVIEW" must appear in the subject line of the email. All material to be displayed at the conference must be approved in advance by both the researching organization and the DARPA Program Manager. The DARPA Program Manager will screen the proposed material for sensitive but unclassified material and approve in advance any presentations. It is the presenter's responsibility to ensure that all material it plans to present at the Proposers' Day Conference has been approved by the funding organization in advance. An electronic copy of all material to be presented must be provided to the DARPA Program Manager for review by close of business January 3, 2013. Presentations containing material marked as proprietary or not approved by the funding organization prior to submittal will not be presented. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. Companies are free to present, but DARPA does not sponsor that information on the Agency website. The attendance roster will be released to all attendees after the conclusion of the conference. If your name should not appear on the attendance roster you must so state in an email to DARPA-BAA-13-15@darpa.mil. One-on-One Sessions with the Program Manager: Afternoon one-on-one sessions with the DARPA Program Manager, Dr. Richard Ridgway, will be held at System Planning Corporation (SPC), 3601 Wilson Blvd, 6th floor, Arlington, VA 22203 beginning at 1:00 PM ET. The one-on-one sessions can be scheduled individually by sending an email to DARPA-BAA-13-15@darpa.mil. The words "ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEW" must appear in the subject line of the email.
