- This announcement is released by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to notify industry of a planned Vendor Information Symposium (VIS) for the Virtual Lifetime Electronic Records (VLER) Initiative scheduled for January 24th & 25th, 2013. The objective of the VIS is to present and explain the VLER initiative and its related programs. VA will then conduct a comprehensive question and answer (Q&A) session and welcomes feedback from all attendees as a major component of this information symposium. The VIS will be held on January 24th & 25th, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) in Arlington, Virginia, at the Veterans Health Administration Conference Center, 2011 Crystal Drive, (Crystal City), Arlington, Virginia 22202. The doors for the symposium will open at 8:00 a.m. for registration and networking. Conference pre-registration is required and limited to two attendees per organization. There is no fee to participate. Pre-registration will be accepted on a first come first served basis until capacity is reached. Participation by individuals, industry representatives, not-for-profit Veteran organizations which service Veterans, academia and the general public is welcome. Pre-registration for the VIS can be completed via the Virtual Office of Acquisition (VOA): https://www.voa.va.gov/ under "VIS for VLER Initiative". The registration form can be found under "VLER VIS-January 2013". You will receive an email from Stewart Maestas, stewart.maestas@va.gov, (202) 461-9566, confirming your registration. If you are not currently a VOA user, registration/login instructions are provided on the main page. Contact voahelp@va.gov for technical assistance. Updates will be posted accordingly.
