This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The wireless eye tracking system must be capable of supporting research activities in the development and evaluations of vision rehabilitation interventions. 2. The wireless communications between the head-mounted system and the base station must be capable of providing real-time monitoring of the position of gaze in the visual scene by the subject. 3. The system must provide an analysis of the eye movement measurements to provide reports of position of gaze characteristics including fixation, saccades, and frequency of spatial position.
