Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS DESIRES TO LEASE PARKING SPACE The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) desires to lease 44 parking spaces in the vicinity of the current VAMC Gainesville, FL, that will be expiring. The lease term requirement is for a term of Three (3) Years / One (1) Year Firm Term. The space must be available for occupancy by June 1, 2013. Space within or fronting on the following boundaries will be considered: NORTH: University Ave SOUTH: Williston Rd EAST: S. Main St WEST: SW 34th St The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. The Government will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or to remain at its current location. All offered properties must be located within 1.5 miles from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 1600 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL, 32608. If an offered property is located more than 1.5 miles form the above-mentioned Clinic; then the base price per parking space, must include a shuttle service at no extra cost for the Government. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. "Method of rentable space measurement "Building ownership information "List of services provided (lighting, maintenance, shuttle). The Government's decision regarding whether to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this advertisement. The Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. Please note: This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals. A solicitation for offers may be issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs at a later date.
