Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates the award of a sole source purchase order to PerkinElmer Health Sciences, 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484-4750, for continued maintenance coverage of a Labchip XT, S/N XT1039N0023; Labchip GX, S/N GX1035N0262; Labchip GX, S/N GX1034N0257; and a Microbeta 2, S/N DG08106676. The maintenance coverage will be for one year starting at date of award, with four one-year options also anticipated. The Labchip units are covered by PerkinElmer’s optimum support plan and the Microbeta 2 with two detectors has comprehensive coverage which includes 2 PM visits, parts, travel, labor, phone support, and a 15 percent training discount. Payments will be in arrears only per regulation. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. Interested persons may use e-mail to identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement before the expiration date of the advertisement.
