- This publication service as a notice of intent to procure brand name product in accordance with FAR Part 11.105 (a) (1). NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service need acoustic transmitter detecting receivers that are compatible with the Juvenile Salmonid Acoustic Telemetry System (JSATS). The JSATS is the most appropriate technology for NOAA's study objectives. These devices are to supplement NOAA's already existing inventory of JSATS receivers and transmitters, and therefore must be JSATS compatible. These receivers are necessary for fulfillment of the agreement number E1183012 from California Department of Fish and Game to support the project: "Survival and Migratory Patterns of Juvenile Spring and Fall Run Chinook Salmon in Sacramento River and Delta" effective June 25, 2012. This research will provide the best scientific data available to support of NOAA's mission of sustainably managing these ecologically, economically and culturally import species. 50 each Trident Acoustic Receiver, temp and tilt included, model SR3000 with the following technical specifications: o JSATS compatible - binary phase shift keyed code pulse operating on frequency of 416.7 kHz +/- 0.5% o Completely submersible to at least 60m water depth o Autonomous - no external power or communications cable necessary for operation o Logs data to flash memory o USB port for connecting to PC o Service life: at least 30 days o Onboard processing of detections to filter false detections o Device comes with PC user interface software that allows for configuring device and includes post-processing algorithm of raw data that incorporates transmitter pulse rate to remove false positives. This feature is high value as it greatly reduces labor costs associated with post-processing data if sophisticated filter is not part of software. o Receiver performance and sensitivity equivalent to ATS SR5000 Trident acoustic receiver (NOAA Fisheries Santa Cruz testing report available) Interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
