- This is a re-solicitation for the requirement that was formerly solicited under the solicitation number HE1260-12-R-0001. ************************************************************************************ The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific intends to procure on a Full and Open Competition basis, a Firm-Fixed Priced, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity type contract for the lease and maintenance of approximately nine (9) touring style buses and one hundred-four (104) school buses used to support students enrolled within Japan and Okinawa Districts. A Performance Work Statement will be included in Request for Proposal (RFP) Number HE1260-13-R-0002. The initial period of performance is from 01 April 2013 through 31 March 2014 with four one-year option periods. The start date of the period of performance is subject to change due to the manufacturing lead time and delivery schedule. The RFP will be posted in the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about 14 January 2013 to close 30 days after the issue date. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency by the RFP closing date and time. Proposals shall be submitted as specified in the RFP. This procurement and intended award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive any contract award or payment. The CCR website is: http://www.ccr.gov. Inquiries may be submitted in writing via e-mail to Miyoko.hokama@pac.dodea.edu. This is strictly a Synopsis to inform industry about an upcoming requirement. The government will not respond to any inquiries received prior to the issuance of the solicitation and no proposals will be accepted based on this pre-solicitation notice.
