Description
SYNOPSIS: Hill AFB is contemplating a contract for two (2) Vertical Lift Modules and two (2) marterial carousels to be placed in building 847. The primary objective of this requirement is acquire 4 machines to help store and easily access material in building 847 on Hill AFB. It is anticipated that two(2) Vertical Module Lifts, and (2) Carousels will be purchased to fulfill these needs. Example of items and materials that will be utilizing the machines are drum brakes that come in crates at a size of 18" tall x 22" wide x 22" deep ranging between 50-60 pounds. The longest item that will be placed in the lifts/carousels will be about about 5 feet long. The largest thing that will be in the lift/carousel is 48" long x 8" wide x 8" tall. Manufacturers that are interested must be able to provide machines that are capable of accomodating said items as well as multiples of those items per tray. The area in which the VLMs and carousels are to be housed offer a maximum available footprint of 49' wide x 10' deep x 17' tall. This area is to be used by all 4 machines and not to be understood as the space available for one unit. The height restrictions is due to building code to allow for overhead piping and clearance issues. The 10' deep issue is to allow adequate room to allow access for a forklift to load and extract material in and out of the machines. Any and all questions and comments will be welcomed and all responses to said questions will be answered in Fed Biz Ops, along with the questions, in order to ensure fair and equal treatment to all potential offerors. Contract type: FFP contract - commercial commodity Period of performance: Installation of equipment will be at the soonest available time after award of the contract, but shall not extend past the date of 1 June 2013. CLIN structure: 0001 - Two (2) Vertical Lift Modules, warranty and installation included 0002 - Two (2) Carousels, warranty and installation included Offerors will be given 30 days to submit a proposal, starting from date of issue of solicitation.
