- Estimated solicitation issue date and estimated closing/response date 08 Jan 2013, Estimated Close Date 08 Feb 2013 PR# - FD2030-12-70810 Nomenclature/Noun - Fire Extinguisher NSN - 1680-01-507-7643, P/N 472555-4, and Interchangeable NSN -1680-01-586-4187, P/N M472555-2 Application (Engine or Aircraft) - C-17 AMC - 1P, The only know sources are Kidde Technologies, Cage Code 61423 for NSN: 1680-01-507-7643, and Ametek Ameron, Cage Code 0FRR4 for NSN: 1680-01-586-4187. Description: This fire extinguisher provides fire suppression capability in the engine nacelle area. Requested Delivery: Delivery beginning 259 days at a rate of 20 per month. Qty, Delivery, Specifics: The current required quantity is 62 each. However, the required quantity may change. Contractor's shall provide proposed prices to the ranges listed on the solicitation. If the quantity ranges provided in this solicitation do not provide the best pricing option then the contractor shall submit quantity ranges that yield the best prices to the Government based on the Min quantity of 16 EA and Max quantity of 93 EA. See clause 52.207-4 in the solicitation. The Final Quantity of this solicitation will be re-evaluated upon receipt of the contractor's proposal and closing of the solicitation. First Article may be required. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
