Description
The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center is conducting a market survey/sources sought to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and/or HUBZONE small business capable of serving the needs mentioned below. This market survey/sources sought announcement is not a request for proposals and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this market survey. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112, Size Standard - 500 The National Institutes of Health Radiology & imaging Sciences and the Center for Interventional Oncology requires the procuremnt of a Customized model 057 Abdominal Phantom and Triple modality 3D Abdominal phantom with the below requirements in order to support mission critical research in interventional oncology. Abdominal Phantoms with 5cm Lesions for Simulated Ablation. The phnatom simulates human abdomen. It will have seven uniformly shaped 5-cm tumors embedded throughout this phantom. The uniform nature and the size of these tumors makes this phantom particularly valuable for assessing needle placement for tumor ablations via the novel interventional radiologist-assistance platform. The Triple Modality 3D Abdominal Phantom Model 057 9 is a valuable tool for testing and validating the novel interventional radiologist-assistance platform for biopsy and radiofrequency ablation of tumors. Model 057 simulates the human abdomen and provides contrast under CT,MRI and ultrasound. It includes internal structures mimicking human anatomym inclduing liver, kidneys partial lungs, abdominal aortam vena cava, spines, 6 ribs, and muscle and fat layer surrounding these structures. These structures are required for the testing software to work. inaddition, this phantom provides multiple lesions of varying sizes for biopsy and/or radiofrequency ablation.
