Description

National Security Technologies, LLC, (NSTec) the prime contractor to the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), is seeking information from renewable energy companies on emerging technologies that would be suitable for inclusion in a renewable energy demonstration zone located at the NNSS. Of particular interest are companies that have the ability to produce 10MW to 30MW of renewable energy that uses limited water for the process. Approximately 300 acres in a secured area were dedicated to a renewable energy demonstration zone to showcase renewable energy technologies. Transmission lines that lead to a power substation are located within 4 miles of the renewable energy demonstration zone. NSTec is investigating how to obtain onsite renewable power, and the associated Renewable Energy Credits, in exchange for land use. Interested parties are to provide: 1. Brochures/specifications; 2. Special land requirements; 3. Infrastructure requirements such as power, water, roads, sewer, or structures; 4. Footprint impact; 5. Site access requirements; 6. Plot size needed to generate 10MW, 20MW, and 30MW using emerging renewable energy technologies and 7. Rough order magnitude estimate (ROM) or cost/pricing information. *** This is a sources sought, there is no solicitation planned for the near future.*** Response date is 01/31/13
