- Description
- The U.S. Army will hold an Industry Day on January 9, 2013 at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Md. The goal of the event is to keep the industrial base informed of upcoming requirements to support the Network Integration Evaluation 14.1 to be held October-November 2013. The Industry Day will outline NIE participation opportunities, including the candidate evaluation methods, and overview both Request for Proposal and Sources Sought, for which the government will solicit industry participation in NIE 14.1. Industry Day presentations will review candidate evaluation methods, lessons learned from past NIEs, and laboratory assets that are available to conduct candidate assessments. Additionally, an overview of NIE 14.1 Sources Sought capability gaps including Brigade and Battalion Command Post Mobility, Operational Energy, Integrated Trouble Ticketing, Small Unit In-garrison Training, Aerial Layer Network Extension, Air Ground Network Architecture and Enterprise Wide Trouble Ticket Improvements will be offered. The event will discuss NIE 14.1 timelines, event status and integration information. Questions will be permitted regarding NIE methodology, processes and in regards to the Sources Sought notice. Questions regarding the specific Request for Proposal notice(s) will not be answered at this Industry Day, instead they will be noted and posted to a government website so all potential vendors can view them. An optional short tour of APG laboratories that support industry candidate assessments, integration and validation prior to the candidates being sent to the NIE area of operations will take place at the conclusion of the briefings. Please RSVP in the online registration form below if you plan to attend this lab tour. Following the conclusion of the briefs and tours, bus transportation will be provided back to the offsite parking location.
