Description
SPECIAL NOTICE - SMALL BUSINESS EVENT 100% Small Business Set-Aside: The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry of an upcoming requirement in support of the PATS (Portable Automated Test Station)-70 program. The PATS-70 test system is operated in an Operational-Level environment. The environment of the O- Level includes exposure to adverse weather conditions. Because of these conditions the following requirements must be met: use of stringent manufacturing practices and high quality components to ensure the proper level of quality expected for high reliability in wear and tear, provide longer mean time between failures (MTBF) in a maintainable and serviceable package to meet customer requirements. The basic contract will involve manufacturing self-test wrap-around adapters and cables. There are 14 different self-test wrap-around adapters and 3 different cables that make up one kit. The solicitor requires a total of 54 kits with an additional 29 manufactured assemblies of three specific items. The delivered self-test wrap-around assemblies and cables shall be built in accordance with production level technical data package drawings The Government anticipates issuing a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334419 with a size standard of 500 people. It is required that the first 20 units are delivered on 02 July 2013. Thereafter, an additional 15 units are to be delivered each month with the exception of the last month, which will be the last 18 units, delivered on 01 Nov 2013. A Sources Sought was posted for this requirement under number FA8224-13-R-PATS-STWA. The Government anticipates posting written Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about 04 January 2013. The RFQ number will be FA8224-13-R-0023. No hard copies of the RFP will be issued; all amendments will be posted and must be retrieved from FBO. Responses to the RFP must be submitted by email to the POC identified below. Questions will be due no later than 11:00 A.M. MST 14 January 2013. Contractors are responsible for all costs for producing and mailing their quotes. No other synopsis will be posted for this requirement. The Government reserves the right to cancel this notice at any time. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level due to security access limitations.
