Description

The Aleda E. Lutz Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan, 48602 intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Carestream Health Inc, 150 Verona Street, 4th Floor, Rochester, New York 14608-1733. The proposed contract is for preventative maintenance services for 1) One (1) Kodak Directview CR 950 System and 2) One (1) Kodak Directview CR 850 System. This equipment is utilized for the performance of Computed Radiography. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 811219. The proposed action is for the supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1(a)(2). The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notification through e-mail to Contract Specialist carole.soule@va.gov, by January 9, 2013, 3:00PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with requirements at no cost or obligation to the government; however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center, Saginaw, Michigan will proceed to sole source this requirement to Carestream Health, Inc.
