Pre Proposal Conference Sign-In 25 Jan 13 Vegetative Reduction Pre-Proposal Slides SCOPE OF SERVICES The referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to RFIs, post the sign-in sheet and the slides from the Pre-Proposal conference, and provide a revised Scope of Work, and extend the closing date to 2:00pm Wednesday, January 30, 2013. This procurement may be quoted as follows: Line Item 0001 Supplies/Services: Mulch/Chip Transportation for Beneficial Reuse: Estimated Quantity: 13,452; Unit: Cubic Yard (CY); Unit Price: $________; Total Price Line Item 0001: $__________. Offerors shall submit their proposals to christina.sale@usace.army.mil. When submitting your proposals by email ensure that the volumes are in two separate files but submitted in one email. QUESTION 14: The spoils from the stump processing operation will contain other organics, to include dirt, root mat, and various roots and woody debris. A. Where is this dirt to be disposed of and whose responsibility is the disposal of soil from the stump processing operation. B. If the soil contains roots and woody debris that is not to ALB spec does USACE expect the contractor to screen this material, and further process the woody debris. ANSWER 14: A. Contractor will be responsible for disposal of non-vegetative debris in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. B. All woody debris is to be made ALB compliant. It is up to the contractor to develop methods of meeting this requirement. QUESTION 15: Is there electricity onsite for a contractor office or should we expect to provide power generation supplies for office and boarding. ANSWER 15: No electricity is available on site. QUESTION 16: Is there water available onsite for dust suppression, and if not is there water available for travel trailers. ANSWER 16: No water is available on site. QUESTION 17: At what point will payment be received from USACE for services, and how often?? ANSWER 17: Invoice every 30 days, payment made within 30 days of receipt of a proper invoice.
