- Pre-solicitation notice/Synopsis Solicitation Number F13PS00167-Willow Beach Underwater Sliding Gate Repairs The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2, Division of Contracting and General Services plans to issue a Request for Proposal (F13PS00167), which will be posted on 1/9/13. The magnitude for this project is estimated to be less than $35,000.00. This request for quotation will be advertised as a "unrestricted' solicitation, which will open to all large and small businesses. Location: Work under this contract is located in Willow Beach NFH located in Mohave County, Arizona. This hatchery is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Las Vegas, NV along the Colorado River. Site Visit: Site visit will be held on 2/14/2013 at 10:00 AM Arizona time prior to submitting proposals. Contact Mark Olson at 928-767-3456, at the front office before entering site, as he will be your only POC for the visit. NOTE: you must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to participate; offerors that are not registered will be rejected. Website https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ The solicitation will be posted on FED CONNECT and FED BIZ OPPS under F13PS00167. The work will require the need for commercially certified/licensed diver(s) who are experienced and able to comply with OSHA 29 CFR1910.146 (confined spaces and subpart T-(Commercial Diving Operations). The Contractor shall furnish all the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services to provide the following: Determine if the gate can be made operable and closed or needs to be replaced. The current gate system is locked or frozen in the open position. The gate is 24 in diameter and is located in the main pump house sump. The depth to the gate is approximately 32 feet below the ground surface and is within the sump of the pump house and there are three pumps within this sump. There appears to be adequate space for the contractor to perform a visual inspection/repair/replace, as needed. The existing CMP pipeline extends from the pump house to Lake Mohave a distance of 227 feet. The sliding gate moves up and down and is underwater (Est. 15 feet ). This project is in two phases: Phase I Gate evaluation, and Phase II Gate repair/replacement. End.
