Description
Estimated list of supplies for one year. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a one year purchase order with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., Rochester, NY 08869-1424, DUNS# 782053516 for the acquisition of reagents used in patient and donor testing. The proposed vendor, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Inc. (OCD) is the only known manufacturer of the OCD reagents that must be used with the OCD Provue instrumentation currently in place for blood testing at the National Institutes of Health, Transfusion Services Lab. The estimated supply schedule is attached to this announcement. The total value of the one year award shall not exceed $150,000. FAR 13 simplified acquisition procedures are being utilized for this procurement. The requested reagents are used for compatibility testing performed on the OCD instrument, the Provue. These reagents are required to perform type, screens, and cross matches necessary for patient testing prior to transfusion. Without these reagents patients in the Clinical Center cannot receive the transfusions necessary for their treatment per protocols at the National Institutes of Health. These items need to be awarded on/or before February 15, 2013 to ensure continued antigen and antibody testing of blood products. The schedule of supplies are attached to this notice. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement.
