Description
Statement of Work for Strongbacks The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure 43 drydock strongbacks for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard located in Portsmouth, Virginia. Transport and delivery to the Shipyard's Controlled Industrial Area will be required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing, and the procurement will be set aside for small businesses. The contract line items are as follows: CLIN 0001: Drydock Strongbacks fabricated in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 7368444 (Rev -) and the Statement of Work, made of high carbon steel, approximately 33 feet long by 52" high, weighing approximately 32,000 pounds each. CLIN 0001AA: Strongbacks with poppets 33 each CLIN 0001AB: Strongbacks without poppets 10 each CLIN 0001AC: Crating and shipping charges CLIN 1001: Option Quantities. Drydock Strongbacks fabricated in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 7368444 (Rev -) and the Statement of Work, made of high carbon steel, approximately 33 feet long by 52" high, weighing approximately 32,000 pounds each. (Option may or may not be exercised.) CLIN 1001AA: Strongbacks with poppets 5 each CLIN 0001AB: Crating and shipping charges The solicitation number is SPMYM1-13-R-0006 and the solicitation is expected to be posted on or around 15 February 2013. Although the Statement of Work will be included in the solicitation, it has been posted with this synopsis. Technical questions, as well as a request for a copy of the NAVSEA drawing, must be written and sent by email ( bonnie.parker@dla.mil or bonnie.parker@navy.mil ) or by fax (757-396-8017). Please make sure that the solicitation number (SPMYM1-13-R-0006) is included in the subject line of any email correspondence. Emails without subject lines will not be read because of security issues. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at www.fedbizopps.gov, as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency.
