Description
Satement of Work for base-wide Mass Notification System (Giant Voice). This is a Request for Information (RFI) announcement only. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The 633d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Langley-Eustis is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential business sources to provide Outdoor Warning (Mass Notification System) and Central Control equipment and installation on Ft. Eustis, Virginia. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and does not bind the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290, Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. This contract will be a one time requirement with a one year warranty. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed-price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as Government-furnished, for the replacement of Base-Wide Mass Notification system for personnel alerting to provide warning messages and alert tones over omni-directional speakers across the installation. Extended descriptions of this requirement are provided in the attached Statement of Work (Attachment 1). The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to a single firm that can effectively meet the requirements. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief statement of current capability and letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: 1) Company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone, type of business and size; 2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contracts (not to exceed three) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; and 3) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this service. Limit responses to five pages. Any information provided is voluntary. Responses must be received by Wednesday 6 February 2013, at 1600 EST.
