Description

Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "Preventive Maintenance (PM) on government owned Hologic Bone Densitometer M# W Bone, S#81479 (E#127256) "Re-commission of sedentary equipment to manufacturers standard and using OEM parts" at the New York Harbor Healthcare System, Manhattan Campus located at 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10023. The vendor will be responsible for: monthly PM and Inspection services which are periodic in nature and are required to maintain the equipment in such condition that it may be operated in accordance with its intended design and functional capacity with incidence of malfunction or inoperative conditions cleaning of equipment, reviewing operating system software diagnostics to ensure that system is operating to the manufacturer's specifications, calibrating and lubricating the equipment, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, replacing parts and maintaining the equipment, inspecting electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying, performing electrical safety inspections, including all intervening calls necessary between regular services calibrations. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $19.0 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment). Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than February 8, 2013 at 11:30AM. Email: josie.tuitt@va.gov and Fax: 718-741-4722. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic category. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
