Description
AMENDMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: 1) Government is removing requirement that Vendors must be Authorized Allison Dealers. Thus a vendor does not have to be an authorized Allison Dealer BUT STILL MUST (per the statement of work) not use aftermarket parts (all parts must meet Allison OEM factory specifications and the entire transmission must comply with Allison's specifications as listed in the Allison Service Manual) and the vendor MUST provide a one year warranty. 2) Because of the amendment, the response date shall be moved and all responses are NOW DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2013 BEFORE 12:00 p.m. CST. AMENDMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: 1) Solicitaiton closing date is Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. CST. (The solicitation and announcement gives both FEB 4 and FEB 7 and should only state FEB 7); 2) Vendors MUST be AUTHORIZED ALLISON DEALERS (not entities whose subcontractors are authorized dealers) and 3) Aftermarket parts are not acceptable (this is stated in the solicitation but we have received questions regarding this); 4) to date we have received questions regarding the time window for pick up, rebuilding and delivery back to the RSMS site -- as this is a production-type facility, time is of the essence, therefore please be advised the requirements/specifications are provided by the requesting Unit and based upon market research and past similar contracts and at this time, we will not be adjusting this portion of the requirement; and 5) responses may be made either by e-mail, to robert.w.mayhue2.mil@mail.mil, or by mail or hand delivery to USPFO for Mississippi, Purchasing and Contracting, Attention: CPT Robert Mayhue, 144 Military Drive, Flowood, MS 39232 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
