Description

Veterans Integrated Services Network 8(VISN 8) intends to solicit a commercial competitive requirement for elevator preventive maintenance and repair throughout VISN 8 Veterans' Affairs Medical Facilities. The services to be elevator maintenance /repair to include emergency call back. Contractor shall provide a full range of elevator maintenance/repair for VISN 8, during the period April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014 with one year option. The contract type will be a multiple award BPA's against a Federal Supply Schedule contract. Pricing will be a Firm Fixed Price. Because it is an agreement, payment is only rendered for services actually received. The Government is not under any obligation to purchase from the awarded BPA schedule holders. Fair opportunity will be given to each awarded BPA for each requirement identified by the using service. This acquisition will utilize the lowest priced technically acceptable (LPTA). This acquisition will be posted thru FSS on or about 3/01/2013 GSA e-Buy in accordance with FAR 8.405-2(c) (3). All FSS holders in Category 811 001 (Repair and Maintenance) will be allowed to submit quotes. Prospective contractors are encouraged to make an on-site visits scheduled on 03/08/2013 from 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m. To include an in-depth review of each of the medical centers equipment, however site visits are not mandatory, the contractor accepts "as is" existing condition of equipment covered under a previous maintenance agreement, at time of award. Federal Supply Schedule O3FAC; special interest number (SIN) 811-001 will be sought. This notice of intent to solicit competition to the maximum extent practicable for this service. More detailed information will be found in the solicitation document to include a detailed scope of work and price schedule. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is 3/01/ 2013 with a proposal due by 3/15/2013. In accordance with the specifications of the solicitation/contract. Interested sources are responsible for reading the solicitation in its entirety when posted and to provide a well organized proposal addressing all questions. No questions shall be accepted until the solicitation is posted.
