Description

SLAC seeks vendors that can provide the following: Two (2) RHEED systems (RHEED-A and RHEED-B) and Two (2) RHEED pattern processing systems. These units are to be installed on the PLD systems. RHEED-A has the capability to scan the electron beam over a sample area of 5 x 5 mm enabling the evaluation of the uniformity of the grown sample. RHEED-B is designed to be equipped with two-stage differential pumping enabling use at high pressure (< 300 mTorr) which is essential for growing a wide range of materials with different stability. The RHEED pattern processing system installed on each PLD system will capture the RHEED patterns on a fluorescent screen using a CCD camera, the data of which are processed using software installed on a PC supplied with the PLD system.
