Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking small business sources for a construction project entitled: City of Emmett Levee Rehab, Idaho. The work is located in the City of Emmett, Idaho on the left bank of the Payette River just downstream of the Highway 52 bridge. This will be a firm-fixed price construction contract. Construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required if the contract price exceeds $30,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 237990 and the associated small business size standard is $33,500,000 or less in average annual receipts. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify interested small business concerns with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement for small business concerns. 1) A capability statement expressing interest in this requirement, describing your company and its capability to complete a project of this magnitude and complexity. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in house personnel. 2) A list of current or past projects demonstrating technical experience with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work. For each project submitted,provide a brief narrative statement of the work your firm accomplished, your firm's role in the project (prime or sub), the dollar value and the completion date (or projected completion date). 3) A reference list for each of the projects submitted in #1 above. Include the name,title, phone number and email address. 4) Provide a statement of your firm's bonding capacity. 5) Provide a statement of your firm's business size and type (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), or woman-owned). 6) Provide a statement that your firm intends to submit an offer when the project is formally advertised. 7) Provide your firm's CAGE code and DUNS number. Submit this information to Connie Cochran, Contract Specialist, via email to yi.cochran@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received before 5:00PM on February 20, 2012. Summary Scope of Work The purpose of this project is to repair damage to the City of Emmett levee, Idaho caused by high flows in the Payette River. The damaged section of the levee is approximately 150 feet long. The work will include clearing the site, furnishing and placing fill material to reestablish the levee cross-section, and furnishing and placing riprap rock to armor the levee.
