- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Washington intends to award a sole-source modification to extend existing contract for one month (01 March 2013 - 31 March 2013) under Contract Number W912D-11-D-0030, to Skookum Contract Services (Product/Service Code: S201, NAICS Code: 561720), to perform custodial services at JBLM, WA. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), these services are needed by the agency and are available from this responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency or will result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries should be directed no later than 12:00:00 PM (PST) 21 February 2013, via email, referencing W9124D-11-D-0030, Glenn E. Slowey, Contract Administrator, glenn.e.slowey.civ@mail.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that, another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the U.S. Army requirement. NOTE: If documents are sent via email, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by calling the Contract Administrator at (253) 982-3884.
