Description

The G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1500 E. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS has a requirement for radioactive isotopes for use in diagnostic nuclear imaging procedures and patient treatment. Radioactive isotopes may be administered by intravenous injection, orally or inhalation. Solicitation VA256-13-R-0058 was issued on February 12, 2013. Past Performance Questionnaires are due February 22, 2013 at 4:00pm CST. Offeror Proposals are due February 27, 2013 at 4:00pm CST. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded with a period of performance consisting of a six month base period with three option periods consisting of 12 months each, if exercised by the Government. This solicitation is unrestricted. The applicable NAICS code is 325412. The small business size standard is 750 employees. Radioisotopes have a short shelf life and must be prepared specifically for each patient's study/treatment. Therefore delivery must be made on a daily basis; SOMETIMES WITHIN THE HOUR. It is imperative the vendor have delivery capabilities to provide dose when needed. Award will be made to the responsible offeror within the local Jackson, MS metropolitan area that offers the overall best value to the Government. Ability to perform the requirements as outlined in the solicitation; offeror's quality management program; past performance; and price will be considered when making the award determination.
