Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) numbered VA786A-13-Q-0023 entitled "Fort Sill National Cemetery-Irrigation controller replacement" on or about February 14, 2013, for Fort Sill National Cemetery located at 2648 NE Jake Dunn Road, Elgin, OK 73538. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOPPS (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a quote must be Center for Veterans Enterprise verified and visible in the VIP database at time of offer due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. NAICS Code: 221310Size Standards: $14Million Period of Performance: 45 calendar days after receipt of award. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contract Specialist will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an RFQ is issued. Once the RFQ is issued, interested parties must submit questions via email to the Contract Specialist. Questions will be answered through an amendment of the solicitation. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of seven (7) each, existing Rain Bird Model IM-36 irrigation controllers as indicated on project drawings and per schedule. Contractor shall procure and install all necessary materials to provide seven (7) each, new Rain Master Evolution DX2 or equivalent controllers as indicated on the project drawings and specifications. The installation shall include stand-alone, programmable, fully automatic controllers that operate as satellite controllers and have the future capability (at a later date) to be upgraded and connected to a future central control system and future weather station.
