- There are numerous applicable NAICS; will need to read the attachment or detailed description. The intent of this Request for Information is to identify potential contractors who can provide a variety of professional services to our federal customers under GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule’s program, Schedule 66, Scientific Equipment and Services. The Scientific Equipment and Services Schedule includes products and services related to Test and Measurement Equipment, Unmanned Scientific Vehicles; Laboratory Instruments, Furnishings and LIMS; Geophysical and Environmental Analysis Equipment; and Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, and Geophysical Testing Services. In 2012, The Greater Southwest Acquisition Center has added three new Special Item Number (SIN) categories to Schedule 66 in an effort to meet our customers’ needs for professional and ancillary services. The new SINs added to Schedule 66 are: (1) SIN 66-1000 for Professional Scientific Services; (2) SIN 66-1002 for Ancillary Products and Services; and (3) SIN 66-1003 for Ancillary Products and Services (Small Business Set Aside). These new SINs were developed to address a growing need expressed by our customers, specifically, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Professional and Ancillary Services on Schedule 66 – SIN 66-1000 Type of SIN: (P) Services: Professional FSC/PSC Code: R499 (Other Professional Services) NAICS: 541380 – Testing Laboratories, 541690 – Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, 541711 - Research and Development in Biotechnology, 541712 - Research and Development in Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology), 541940 – Veterinary Services, 541990 – All other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Maximum Order Threshold: $500,000 Description: SIN 66 1000 - Professional Scientific Services related to scientific and academic research and development in physical, biological, veterinary, natural, and life sciences; testing services and laboratories; other professional, scientific, and technical consulting services (excluding engineering, management, and environmental consulting services); characterized as relying upon experimental, empirical, quantifiable data, relying on the scientific method, and focusing on accuracy and objectivity. Includes, but not limited to, professional services, tasks, and labor categories in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, atmospheric science, oceanography, materials sciences, mathematics, geology, astronomy, veterinary medicine, statistics, systems science, etc., (excludes social and behavioral sciences). Examples of labor categories includes, but are not limited to, Scientific Researchers, Biologists, Physicists, Mathematicians, Statisticians, Research Engineers, Meteorologists, Lab Technicians, Veterinarians and Veterinary Services, Chemists, Biochemical Engineers, Research Nurses, etc. Type of SIN: (B) Both Service and Commodity FSC/PSC Code: N052 NAICS: 334511 - Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, 334515 - Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, 336411- Aircraft Manufacturing, 339113 - Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, 337127 - Institutional Furniture Manufacturing, 541380 - Testing Laboratories Maximum Order Threshold: $150,000 Descriptions: SIN 66 1002 -- Ancillary Supplies and/or Services are support supplies and/or services which are not within the scope of any other SIN on this schedule. These supplies and/or services are necessary to compliment a contractor's offerings to provide a solution to a customer requirement. This SIN may be used for orders and blanket purchase agreements that involve work or a project that is solely associated with the supplies and/or services purchased under this schedule. This SIN EXCLUDES purchases that are exclusively for supplies and/or services already available under another schedule. SIN 66 1003 -- Ancillary Supplies and/or Services (Set-Aside) are support supplies and/or services which are not within the scope of any other SIN on this schedule. These supplies and/or services are necessary to compliment a contractor's offerings to provide a solution to a customer requirement. This SIN may be used for orders and blanket purchase agreements that involve work or a project that is solely associated with the supplies and/or services purchased under this schedule. This SIN EXCLUDES purchases that are exclusively for supplies and/or services already available under another schedule. Special Instructions: The work performed under this SIN shall be associated with existing SIN(s) that are part of this schedule. Ancillary supplies and/or services shall not be the primary purpose of the work ordered, but be an integral part of the total solution offered. Ancillary supplies and/or services may only be ordered in conjunction with or in support of supplies or services purchased under another SIN(s) of the same schedule. Offerors may be required to provide additional information to support a determination that their proposed ancillary supplies and/or services are commercially offered in support of one or more SIN(s) under this schedule. GSA Schedules are fast, easy, and effective contracting vehicles for both customers and vendors. Within the realm of the GSA Schedules program, long-term government wide contracts with commercial companies are established, which serve to provide access to millions of commercial products and services to Federal agencies; all at volume discount pricing.
