Description

The Naval Postgraduate School has a need to procure a transmission electron microscope capable of imaging, diffraction, and chemical analysis down to the sub-nanometer scale. This instrument must be capable of working equally well in both imaging and scanning (STEM) modes. This instrument must include both an instrument-integrated silicon drift detector for x-ray microanalysis and an electron imaging filter for electron energy loss spectroscopy and imaging. This instrument must be highly automated with integrated control software allowing digital control for alignments, imaging, scanning imaging, x-ray spectroscopy, electron spectroscopy, and diffraction.
