- Industry Day Announcement For TB-34() Towed Body The Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Manager for Submarine Acoustic Systems Program Office (PMS 401) within the Program Executive Office for Submarines (PEOSUB), will host an Industry Day Conference in support of the TB-34 program on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at URS, 300 M St. S.E., Washington, DC 20003 Conference Room 414 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00am. As you enter the glass double doors, please check in with the receptionist. All attendees must submit a Visit Authorization Request Form (VAR) to URS Federal Technical Services for unescorted access via JPAS at SMO 2P9334. This will appear as śArlington, VA ť as URS is an off-site. Faxed VARs must be addressed to CCY, but can be faxed to 202-264-7801. For any questions or to resolve any problems for attendance to this Industry Day, please contact Ms. Susan Campbell at (202) 264-7803. All visitors & their security personnel can contact Sabrina Akins (202) 264-7870 or sabrina.akins@urs.com to check receipt of VAR(s). Check-in will be between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Attendance is limited to no more than four individuals per organization. All attendees will be required to present photo identification to obtain their visitor IDs. The TB-34() Industry Day conference will be UNCLASSIFIED. Please RSVP no later than March 8, 2013 to susan.campbell@urs.com and please carbon copy mercedes.burrell@navy.mil and david.diamantopoulos@navy.mil. RSVPs received after March 8, 2013 will not be accepted and attendance will be denied. There is no registration fee for attending this Industry Day Conference. This Industry Day Conference is in support of the Naval Sea System Command ™s upcoming TB-34() competitive procurement. Solicitation N00024-13-R-6262 will be issued for the development and production of TB-34() Towed Bodies. Procurement will occur via a full and open competitive contract spanning FY14 through FY18. This procurement includes engineering and technical services and Provisioned Item Orders. The TB-34() Towed Body includes a TB-34() Towed Array Assembly and a Light Weight Tow Cable Assembly. The TB-34() will be the newest Fat Line Towed Array, housed inside the nominally 280 foot long stowage tube located outboard on submarine hulls. This array must provide high reliability, achieved by lower power requirements and reduced complexity. The TB-34() array will use an electro-optical Light Weight Tow Cable (LWTC) to enable the bandwidth required to be sent from the array to the submarine. The TB-34() ™s acoustic capability will be processed by the AN/BQQ-10 host sonar system. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this Industry Day. Proposals will only be accepted in response to the RFP once formally issued following the Industry Day. This notice shall not be construed as a promise to contract or commitment of any kind. The Government will not award a contract resulting from this Industry Day notification. During Industry Day there will be NO opportunities to ask questions or discussions between individual industry representatives and Government technical Program Office representatives. However, the Government will provide Industry the opportunity to document UNCLASSIFIED questions that arise during the conference on forms supplied at the Conference. The Government will collect ALL written questions prior to the conclusion of Industry Day. The written questions will be answered via a follow-up post electronically on NECO/FedBizOpps following the Industry Day. In addition, UNCLASSIFIED electronic mail questions regarding the forthcoming Industry Day received before the close of business on March 6, 2013 will be accepted by the NAVSEA Contract Specialist Mercedes Burrell at mercedes.burrell@navy.mil. The Government will attempt to respond to questions received before the Industry Day is conducted on March 13, 2013. However, the Government is not committed to respond to any questions including questions submitted by electronic mail or industry day. Please note that industry participation is voluntary and the Government will not reimburse respondents or attendees for any efforts expended as a result of or in response to this notice. Only general level of acquisition strategy and contractual plans will be addressed during the Industry Day.
