Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice Install Data and Power for Kiosks Project: 437-13-123 Provide all labor, materials, equipment, etc. necessary to complete VA project 437-13-123, Install Data and Power for Kiosks in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, adding data and communication wiring drops to outlets with 3 data and 1 communication outlet in one wall outlet box, and routing the conductors back to the telephone closets and IRM closets indicated on the project drawings; power wiring, conduit and wall boxes wired back to panels in electrical rooms/closets as indicated on the project drawings. Work will involve providing new patch panels and circuit breakers as required to accommodate the new wiring and cables. All work shall be coordinated with the Fargo VA staff prior to beginning work. Location:Selected rooms within the main Medical Center at the Fargo VA Health Care System and at selected CBOC sites as indicated within the contract documents. Cities included are Fargo, Grafton, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Bismarck, Minot, Dickinson and Williston in North Dakota; Bemidji and Fergus Falls in Minnesota. Under no circumstances shall the exit pathways to or from the building be blocked since the exits are required for emergency egress. All work shall be in compliance with all applicable NFPA, NEC, Life Safety Code, UFAS, OSHA and other pertinent code requirements. The Contractor shall have 60 calendar days from the date of receipt of the notice to proceed to complete the project. Contractor shall develop and submit a detailed schedule for all phases of the project for approval by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Work should be phased so that it minimizes the impact to the VA. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Electronic solicitation documents will be made available in electronic format only through the Federal Business Opportunities website at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is recommended that contractors complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. This procurement is 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the VetBiz Registry website prior to submitting a bid: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in SAM and ORCA prior to award: https://www.sam.gov; and https://orca.bpn.gov. Bids will only be accepted from responsible and responsive contractors. The contractor must be a firm approved under NAICS code 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The VA anticipates making the plans and specifications available for download from the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov/ on or around 11 March 2013. Amendments to this solicitation will be posted at the FedBizOpps website as well. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time of bid closing.
