Description

SCOPE OF WORK Dumpster Area Demolition and Expansion 244 NEEDY ROAD MARTINSBURG, WV 25401 -01. GENERAL Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and supervision to furnish: •1. Remove and dispose of existing slab and damaged walls that surround the dumpster area •2. Excavate and prepare area to accept footings and slab that will provide 13 ½'x36' inside dimension for Dumpster area •3. Utilize # 4 Rebar reinforcement set 12" on center along three sided wall •4. Pour 4" x 8" brick pattern walls. Height equal to existing rear wall tapered to the front curb, esthetically pleasing and approved by GSA. •5. Prep new slab area with clean stone and rebar set 2' on center •6. Form curb at the back to prevent dumpster from hitting the walls •7. Pour new ramp and curb at the front of the pad •8. Back fill walls and final grade •9. Stabilize and seed affected area NOTE: Quality Assurance Use adequate numbers of skilled workmen who are thoroughly trained and experienced in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with the specified requirements and the methods needed for proper performance of work. NOTE: WORK MAY BE DONE DURING WORK HOURS, UNLESS AREA CAN NOT BE ACCESSED DUE TO WORK ACTIVITIES OR WORK HAS THE POTENTIAL TO HARM PERSONAL OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY NOTE: ALL SITE WORK MUST COPLY WITH EPA, STATE AND FEDERAL GUIDANCE. NOTE: WORKERS AND DRIVERS ENTERING SITE WILL NEED TO UNDERGO A BRIEF BACKGROUND CHECK All product equivalents shall be approved by GSA prior to construction. -02. DEBRIS REMOVAL ALL DEBRIS GENERATED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE REMOVED DAILY BY THE CONTRACTOR **PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 2013 AT 10:00 A.M.** **ALL BIDS WILL BE DUE BACK NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 2013 AT 1:00 P.M.**
