Description
DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with Rigaku Americas Corporation in The Woodlands, TX for the rebuild of a rotating anode. Services to be rendered are: -Rebuild of Micromax 007 copper rotating anode -Preventative maintenance and servicing of Micromax 007 rotating anode controller and power supply, and RAxis IV image plate detector -Preventative maintenance and servicing of PSAXS system including realignment of the optics. Rigaku is the only source that can provide all preventative maintenance, servicing and training on Rigkau PSAXS systems. Rigkau holds the proprietary rights to the design, and parts for this system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219, and the size standard is $19 million or less. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, responses received by March 8, 2013 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
