Description

Synopsis - Notice of Intent to Sole Source Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm Systems The U.S. EPA intends to procure on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Simplex Grinnell, LP for the purposes of installing additional and upgraded fire suppression systems and fire alarms for the existing Simplex Grinnell systems in the Hazardous Materials Storage Building, the Equipment Storage and Maintenance buildings located at the US EPA, Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center, Ground Water and Ecosystems Restoration, 919 Kerr Research Drive, Ada, OK. Tyco Simplex Grinnell Inc. located in Oklahoma City, OK is the authorized representative for Simplex Grinnell in this area. The systems to be modified are SIMPLEX GRINNELL LP, which is proprietary and can only be serviced and modified by SIMPLEX GRINNELL LP. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The installation of the addition to the existing fire suppression systems and fire alarms are solely provided by SIMPLEX, however, any firm believing it capable of installation of additions to existing fire suppression systems may submit appropriate documentation within 15 calendar days of electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis.
