- 1. AMOUNT AND TYPE OF SPACE The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), on behalf of the National Weather Service (NWS) is interested in continuing to leasing self-storage space to house electrical, mechanical, and facilities type equipment. The space shall be a minimum size of 800 square feet. The Government requires the right of ingress and egress 7 days per week. 2. AREA OF CONSIDERATION The area of consideration is within ½ to 2 miles one way driving distance from NWS Weather Forecast Office located at 4 Falcon Drive, Peachtree City, GA 30269. 3. LEASE TERM The government is seeking a minimum of five (5) year lease up to a maximum of twenty (20) year lease term with the right for the Government to terminate the lease in whole or in part with a 90-day written notice. Space is needed no later than March 1, 2013. All the terms and conditions contained herein shall prevail throughout the term of the lease. 4. REQUIREMENTS (1) Minimum 800 square feet of self-storage space (2) 12' Roll-up garage door entrance (3) Standard size door entrance (4) Storage space must be on ground level (5) Illuminated storage space plus four electrical outlets in the storage space (6) Gated access to facility (7) Monitored by security cameras (8) All utility charges included (9) Available 7 days per week and 24 hours per day 5. AWARD Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable offer that meets the requirements set forth in this solicitation. Moving and duplication costs may be considered in determining the overall costs of the lease. 6. FLOOD PLAIN OR WETLANDS An award of contract will not be made for a property located within a base flood plain or wetland unless the Government has determined it to be the only practicable alternative.
