- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Life Technologies Corporation, 5791 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008-7321, for continued maintenance of thirteen 7500 Fast RTPCR machines, with guaranteed 2-business day/priority on-site response, 4-hour phone response, labor and travel fees, automatic planned maintenance visit, factory certified replacement parts, and remote monitoring, plus telephone support, serial numbers as follows: S/N 275010716, 275010719, 275010741, 275010745, 275011239, 275012000, 275012014, 275012298, 275012299, 275030036, 275030040, 275030043, and 275030283. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to the purchasing agent at lml3@cdc.gov by 4:30 p.m. EDT, March 29, 2013.
