Description
The project consists of, but is not limited to: Replace an existing 600 vac, 800 amp motor control center consisting of four sections 600 vac, 800 amp switch board assembly consisting of three sections, and demolition of three 400 amp power panels. Branch circuit feeders supplied by the electrical equipment must be pulled back to permit equipment replacement and reinstall Reposition two 480 vac, 75 kva power transformers and replace the existing electrical vault exit doors with new properly prepped doors and egress hardware. Temporary power distribution equipment and lighting must be installed throughout the facility as specified during the switchboard replacement phase. Facility building must be powered from an engine generator and facility parking lots must be illuminated at night. Temporary equipment must be removed after construction is complete. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE “ NAICS 238210. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $150,000 The contractor awarded this contract must have active registration in the System for Award Management before award can be made. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged businesses Utilization has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and control by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime and sub-contractor at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit of $750,000.
