- 1.0 DISCLAIMER: This is a Request For Information (RFI) only as defined in FAR 15.201(e) to obtain information about capabilities and market information related to analysis of total ammonia and 15N-ammonia in urine for planning purposes. This (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be entertained. 2.0 SUBJECT: The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) and the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) are conducting market research to ascertain the availability of small business concerns that have proven capabilities to support chemical analytical services to include the analysis of 180 urine samples for concentration of total N and total 15N (average 15N-urea and 15N-ammonia), ammonia, and 15N-ammonia for the USARIEM protocal: Physiological analysis of Norwegian Armed Forces during a multi-day winter training exercise. 3.0 BACKGROUND: The mission of the USARIEM, Natick, MA is to protect, sustain and maximize the health and performance of individual military personnel, crews and troop populations. 4.0 RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Respondents should address the following in their submission: Name and address of company Provide business size and type Names and contact information of key company personnel A copy of your Capabilities Statement Description of past performance to perform chemical analytical services of urine for concentration of total N and total 15N, ammonia, and 15N-ammonia: oName and address of the agency or organization oName of references point of contact, including title, telephone number and e-mail address, that can provide information regarding the offeror's performance oContract number oContract type oTotal contract dollar value oProject title and brief description of work performed oContract period of performance 5.0 CONTACT INFORMATION: Any and all questions related to this RFI shall be in writing to Kristen Trump via eamil to kristen.trump@us.army.mil.
