- The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 1 NSN that is code and p/n sourced to Duracell Inc (2N182), Energizer Holding Inc (1W5P1), Spectrum Brands (77542). This proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class of 6140. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Delivery Purchase Order for which delivery orders may be placed over a three year base period with an option to extend the contract for up to two additonal years in one year increments. The procurement will be in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about 3/11/2013 with an anticipated award of 7/11/2013 at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. An alternate source must submit data and be approved by cognizant Government engineering activity. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the descretion of the Government. The duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This solicitation will be issued as other than full and open competion, unrestriscted procurement. Battery, Storage NSN 6140 01 413 3926 Duracell Inc (2N182) P/N DC1500B4 Engergizer Holding Inc (1W5P1) P/N NH15BP-4 Spectrum Brands, Inc (77542) P/N LD715-4OP FOB Destination Annual Demand Quantity 11,079 Packages Unit of Issue: PG Delivery 60 days Annual Demand Value $68,746.80 Contract Maximum $481,227.60 The Contracting Officer may utilize on-line Reverse Auctioning as a means of conduction price discussions under this solicitation. During the course of the on-line auction, offerors' proposed prices will be publicly disclosed to other offers and anyone else having access to the on-line auction. This public disclosure is anonymous, meaning that each offeror's identitiy will be concealed from other offerors (although it will be known to the Government), and only generic identifiers will be used publicly for each offeror's proposed pricing (e.g., "Offeror A"). By submitting a proposal in response to the solicitation, offerors agree to participate in the Reverse Auction and that their prices may be publicly disclosed, including to other offerors, during the Reverse Auction. An offeror's final auction price will be considered its final proposal revision. No price revisions will be accepted after the close of the Reverse Auction, unless the Contracting Officer decides that further discussions are needed and final proposal revisions are again requested in accordance with FAR 15.307."
