Description

This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This proposed procurement is for a minimum quantity of 83 BX, maximum quantity of 8,334 BX (1 BX = 240 rounds) of 12-Gauge Slugs (DODIC A023) manufactured in accordance with NSWC Crane Statement of Work, specification and associated drawings. Award of a 5-year firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated. Delivery is required within 120 days after effective date of delivery order, FOB destination, with inspection and acceptance to be performed at source by a representative of the Government. Accelerated deliveries are acceptable at no additional cost to the Government. This is a full and open competition acquisition and all responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The Government intends to award to the responsible offeror whose offer is determined to be the best value to the Government, considering past performance, and price related factors. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government(s) System for Award Management database (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the Internet at www.sam.gov. This will be a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 April 2013 at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov. Solicitation attachments will be posted at the same time the solicitation is posted. FedBizOpps may be accessed at http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors must be registered in SAM and the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the package. Information about the JCP is located at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed. To download and view these documents, you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the FedBizOpps and NECO websites. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps and/or NECO websites for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
