Description

Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision and expertise necessary to Renovate Building 7 for Wound Healing Care of Excellence Center at VAMC Alexandria, Louisiana. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of equipment as required by drawings and specifications. The project involves demo existing area/offices (approximately 1,200 square feet) on 2nd floor and construct/build new Wound Healing Care of Excellence Center as required by drawings and specifications. Demolition of existing space shall include the removal of resilient flooring and base, metal stud walls, masonry walls, plumbing equipment, acoustical/plaster ceilings, mechanical equipment, fans and associated ductwork and plumbing. Construction includes building a new Wound Healing Care of Excellence Center, with a waiting room, 2 offices, 4 exam rooms, 1 clean storage room, 1 dirty storage room, a toilet with entry from an exam room, reception area with custom built desk and lighting, new flooring and ceiling throughout including one elevator lobby area as specified and required by drawings and specifications. The dollar magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. NAICS 236220 applies-size standard is $33.5 million. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (http://www.sam.gov ) under NAICS 236220 and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://www.sam.gov ), along with Vets 100 at http://www.dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html in order to submit offers and be eligible for award. All offerors must be listed as "verified" in the VIP database, available in VETBIZ at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Offerors are responsible for obtaining solicitation from fedbizopps and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation. Amendments to this solicitation will not be mailed, but will be posted at the fedbizopps website. You must register as "Interested Vendor" at the fedbizopps website in order to receive e-mail notification of amendments. Telephone requests will not be accepted. This is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Solicitation No. VA-256-13-B-0644 including specifications and drawings will be issued as an IFB construction contract on or about April 19, 2013. Bids will be due not less than 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. A site visit will be scheduled and specific information for the site visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation.
