- Description
- AS A RESULT OF THE QUESTIONS BELLOW FROM VENDORS, THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS REQUIREMENT HAVE BEEN REVISED. IF A VENDOR HAS ALREADY SUBMITTED A QUOTE AND THE SLIGHTLY REVISED SPECIFICATIONS DO NOT EFFECT YOUR PROPOSAL, YOU CAN IGNORE THIS AMENDMENT, OTHERWISE, YOU ARE FREE TO REVISE YOUR QUOTE. THE RESPONSE DUE DATE HAS ALSO BEEN REVISED TO 04/11/13 TO PROVIDE THE INTERESTED VENDORS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS REQUIREMENT. THE REVISED SEPCS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Minimum Specifications: 1. Compatibility with Shimadzu IRAFFINITY-1 FTIR spectrometer 2. Spectrum range: at least, 7,000 - 400 cm-1 with KBr window 3. Maximum microphone sensitivity: > 1 V/Pa at a scan speed within 5 Hz - 30 kHz 4. Capability of measuring solid, liquid, and gaseous samples using one or more interchangeable detector modules. 5. Variable gain control: > 10 steps QUESTIONS The microphone sensitivity specification does not state the frequency range. A 5 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range is required to accommodate the full range of FTIR operating parameters. A resonance-free, constant 10 V/Pa sensitivity from 5 Hz to 20 kHz, which is the frequency range of the..... microphone, has never been demonstrated by any photoacoustic detector manufacturer. A 10 V/Pa resonance-free sensitivity has only been demonstrated below approximately 1 kHz which is a serious limitation for a photoacoustic detector......... provides specific sampling heads for gas samples and for solid, semisolid, and liquid samples that all operate interchangeably with the...... PAC300 photoacoustic detector. Multiple photoacoustic detectors are not necessary with......'s technology to access these different types of samples. The signal inputs on FTIR spectrometers require an analog signal so digitizing the signal is not desirable prior to the FTIR input. The..... PAC300 detector has variable gains in 12 steps covering a gain range of 5000. This gain range has been proven to be fully adequate for all commercial FTIRs and all types of photoacoustic measurements.
