Description
The Huntington District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipates releasing a solicitation in May 2013 for Seepage Barrier Construction at Bolivar Dam, Bolivar, OH. The project will consist of the construction of a partial-depth seepage barrier approximately 4,500 ft. in length and a maximum depth of 144 ft. through the upstream slope of the dam embankment terminating in the left abutment. Drilling and grouting along an alignment approximately 300 ft. in length by 60 ft. average depth in the left abutment of the dam from the end of the seepage barrier to near the emergency spillway is also required as part of the project. A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be conducted in conjunction with this project. This site visit and pre-proposal conference are tentatively scheduled to be conducted on June 4, 2013. The actual date of the site visit and pre-proposal conference will be provided upon solicitation advertisement. Vendors who have Foreign Nationals wishing to participate in the site visit and pre-proposal conference must be cleared prior to attending. Those without clearance will not be allowed to attend. No exceptions are available. U.S. Citizens are not required to receive prior clearance, but will be required to bring at least one Government issued photo identification to the scheduled meetings. Foreign Nationals who are cleared via this procedure will also be required to bring their passport to the visit. In order for Foreign Nationals to attend, the following items are required to be submitted to the Huntington District Security Management Office at least 30 days prior to the scheduled meetings: -Full name of potential attendee -Scanned copies of passport of potential attendee -Position/title of potential attendee -Point of contact/sponsor of potential attendee The above referenced information should be emailed to all three of the following contacts: -Sandra Hardwick, Security Officer - Sandra.L.Hardwick@usace.army.mil -Stephen Vandall, Security Technician - Stephen.M.Vandall@usace.army.mil -Erin Bradley, Contract Specialist - Erin.E.Bradley@usace.army.mil The Security Management Office requires are least 30 days to process these requests, so please get your information submitted as soon as possible.
