- Description
- The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a firm fixed-price contract for Red Bluff Diversion Dam Decommissioning. This procurement is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns only. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $33.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Work will be located near the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Red Bluff Diversion Dam, on the Sacramento River approximately 2 miles southeast of the City of Red Bluff, in Tehama County, California. Solicitation R13PS20169 will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about June 7, 2013. The date for receipt of offers will be approximately July 8, 2013. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Demolition, removal and disposal of the nominal 500 cubic feet per second (cfs) Interim Pumping Plant facility and appurtenances. 2. Demolition, removal and disposal of the nominal 300 cfs Research Pumping Plant facility and appurtenances. 3. Demolition, removal and disposal of the nominal 165 cfs Temporary Pumping Plant facility and appurtenances. 4. Demolition, removal and disposal of the Settling Basin Drum Screens. 5. Demolition, removal and disposal of the Tehama Colusa Canal Check 2 Drum Screens. 6. Decommissioning of the Red Bluff Diversion Dam. 7. Demolition, removal and disposal of 5 trailers. 8. Removal and disposal of various steel sheet piles. 9. Fabrication and installation of handrails (removable guardrails) for the siphon inlet. 10. Fabrication of stoplogs and lifting beam for the siphon outlet. 11. Furnishing and installing metal beam guardrail and terminal systems. 12. Decommissioning two concrete fish ladders to include concrete walls at entrances and exits, earth and gravel fill between walls and a concrete cap on each fish ladder. 13. Construction of a concrete cutoff wall to separate the stilling basin from the Sacramento River. 14. Rehabilitation of Altube Avenue.
