- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO REPAIR THE INCINERATOR, YOKOTA AIR BASE IN JAPAN: This is a Sources Sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation because there is no bid package or solicitation available. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. Yokota Air Base is seeking prospective bidders for repairing two gas cooling chamber rooms in the refuse incinerator. Existing bricks in the cooling chamber room #1 are currently in a deteriorated condition. Existing bricks at cooling chamber room#2 have already been fallen down and the operation has stopped. The exact location of construction area shall be followed in accordance with the annual inspection report 2012 by the incinerator manufacture, Takuma Co., Ltd. General Description of work includes, but not limited to, the following: a. Replace existing damaged bricks, castable, motor, anchor, steel casing, ceramic rope and ceramic blanket with new. b. Scaffolding, curing, clean up, transport, waste disposal, paint, miscellaneous and all other related works. The cost of consumer goods and lease equipment shall be included. The estimated price for the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 (or Yen equivalent between ¥41,201,750 and ¥82,403,500 @$1 = 82.4035). All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract including, but not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools equipment, transportation, supervision, management and other services (including engineering and technical design support), items and incidentals necessary for the successful completion of issues task order.
