Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network 23 Contracting Office, on behalf of the St. Cloud VA Health Care System, 4801 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56303, issues this pre-solicitation notice for Project 656-13-226, Upgrade Reception Stations, Buildings 2 and 51. Any solicitation issued subsequent to this notice will be conducted in accordance with Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 and 38 USC 8127 as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB) and in accordance with FAR 14.408-1(a) (3), to that responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract is anticipated. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to completely and satisfactorily perform the construction and placement of new reception area workstations as per specifications and drawings. This work will take place in designated areas of Buildings 2 and 51 on the campus of the St. Cloud VA HCS. All work is to be performed according to the issued solicitation documents, specifications, drawings and all applicable industry requirements and the technical standards. Work will include but is not limited to coordination with Government staff, planning, phasing, demolition, removal and replacement of reception area workstations. Solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, will be posted to www.fbo.gov and available electronically on or about May 28, 2013. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY, AS ALL INFORMATION RELEVANT TO THE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED TO THE SITE, INCLUDING ANY SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS AND SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS. It is anticipated that bids will be due on or about June 28, 2013. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled. The date and time of the pre-bid conference will be announced when the actual solicitation is posted. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $ 250,000.00 and $ 500,000.00. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $ 33.5 million.
