Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award of a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Fortebio, Inc., 1360 Willow Road, Suite 205, Menlo Park, CA 94025-1524, for continued maintenance of one Octet RED System, S/N FB-10113, and one Sidekick, S/N S-10103, plus one yearly preventive maintenance visit which includes testing of the instrument, lamp replacement, and calibration at customer site, lamp is included, with other parts and labor covered by the continued maintenance agreement. Period of performance is June 20, 2013 through June 19, 2014. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to the purchasing agent at lml3@cdc.gov by 4:30 p.m. EDT, May 21, 2013.
