- VA Central Texas Health Care System (VACTHCS) contracting office anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price construction contract for the Center of Excellence (COE), Building 93 MRI Courtyard, Waco, TX. The project number is 674A4-13-701 and is located at the VA Medical Center, 4800 Memorial Dr., Waco, TX 76711. Building 93 is a 3 story 55,954 gsf historic 1940's era structure on the Historic Preservation Plan for the campus. Work shall consist of, but not limited to; demolition and removal of existing utilities, vegetation, site fixtures, and paving; excavation; construction of new courtyard addition including new and extension of existing utilities, sidewalks, site paving, structural concrete and steel, masonry, cast stone, roofing electrical, fire protection, finishes, and other accessories in accordance with VA Specifications. Additionally, it is recommended the offeror visit site prior to submission of their bid in order to be fully acquainted with existing site conditions and scope of work. It is Contractor's responsibility to field verify prior to bid all existing conditions, devices, equipment, cable distance, cable route, measurements and areas provided in scope of work. The contractor is responsible for, but not limited to, locate underground utilities, furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The period of performance is 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The method of procurement shall be an Invitation For Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14 and 36. Issue date will be on or about April 12, 2013. Proposal closing date will be on or about June 4, 2013. This procurement is a 100% Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127). The NAICS code is 236220, with business size standard at $33.5 Mil. Magnitude of Construction Project : $250,000 - $500,000.
